As the more than 34 million Ugandans eagerly await the delayed Caf draws for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has organized a mini football gala involving Uganda Cranes sponsors Airtel, its partners National Insurance Corporation (NIC) and Nile Breweries due this Sunday 27th April, 2014 at Lugogo-the day when the draw will be conducted in Cairo, Egypt.
The function will be used to kick start the 2015 AFCON draw.
The Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA) and the Ex-Internationals (former Uganda Cranes players) have also been invited to play in the mini football gala.
The mini gala football tournament will start at 9am till 3pm. The sponsors will form one team selected from Airtel, NIC and Nile Breweries to take part in the event.
Th FUFA XI will be led by its President Engineer Moses Magogo. Each team will be required to name a 25 man squad.
Moving on, two teams from the first round will join the other 26 in the second round and engage in two legs, with 14 advancing to the third round. First legs will be played on May 16, 17, 18 and return legs on May 30, 31 and June 1.
The 14 qualified teams will engage in two legs with seven countries advancing to the group stage where they will meet the other seeded 21. First legs of the Third Round will be played July 18, 19, 20 and return legs on August 1, 2, 3.
The top two teams from the seven groups of four will qualify for Morocco automatically while the third best placed country will progress as best losers. Morocco will complete the cast as hosts.

9.15 am-10.15am: 1st semifinal
10.20 am-11.20 am: 2nd Semifinal
11.30am-12.30pm: Losers’ match
1.30pm: Lunch, speeches in the build up to the 2015 AFCON draw
