Wounds and deep cuts have been found on the head of Olavi’s body that was discovered by police this morning near Marina Beach in Munyonyo.
Olavi drowned in Lake Victoria on Sunday evening when he was trying to swim. Efforts to be saved by his friends after he drowned were futile because the waves had intensified due to heavy winds.
The deceased was a son of Youma, a wealthy business man in Kampala who runs a car selling business.
“We took the body to Mulago hospital for post-mortem because we found it with wounds and deep cuts on the head,” said Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga.
The search for Olavi’s body has made the police search in the water for about 36 hours.
