SC Victoria University and former Mbarara University of Science and Technology (Must) striker Siraje Muhindo who was declared University Football League’s finest was over the weekend bundled out of the Mbarara Corporate League.
Entatsi, a Runyakitara Bi weekly based in Mbarara has exclusively revealed that Siraje a professional footballer had earlier on tiptoed into the competition last month featuring for the Coca Cola corporate league team which is against their regulations that only allow amuatuer players.
While the timing couldn’t have been worse for Muhindo, the striker has been left with egg on his face and the prospect of the University Football League reigning MVP being discharged in the transfer season is being openly discussed behind the scenes at the club and a parting of the ways could suit both parties after Musindo’s quality seemed wanting since signing for SCVU in a multimillion deal and for taking part in games not sanctioned by club management.
Tensions still exist between SCVU and its recruits from the University League after Muhindo’s close friend Yasser Mugerwa ranted on social media earlier this season on why he had signed a contract with them.
Muhindo top scored with 14 goals in 2013 and netted against all the other seven universities in the league.
