Sports Club Vipers are back to the summit of the FUFA Super League after a hard fought for 1-all draw against Entebbe FC.
The draw saw Coach Edward Golola’s side move to 36 points, one point above Uganda Revenue Authority FC who were not in action on Friday.
Defender Ismail Kazibwe scored an own goal to give the hosts the lead.
SC Vipers hit back putting Entebbe FC under pressure that paid off when Frank Miya sneaked in the equalizer. “It was a very tough game, but we are happy to pick a point from it because Entebbe FC was not an easy team,” said Golola after the game.
Meanwhile in Fridays other games, former Uganda Cranes winger Dan Wagaluka scored the lone goal for Soana FC against Kiira Young.
The win sent them to third place behind URA FC who have a better goal difference.
Bottom placed CRO held struggling Bright Stars to goalless draw, while Joshua Masene’s goal was enough to give Bidco FC a 1-0 win over army side Simba.
