M7 To Address Pan African Parliament Today

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni is in South Africa to participate in celebrations to mark the tenth anniversary of the Pan-African parliament slated for today at the Pan-African convention centre in Midrand.

The President in South Africa at the invitation of the Pan-African parliament arrived at Lanseria International Airport in the South African city of Johannesburg Monday evening and was received on arrival by the South African Minister of Transport, Mr. Ben Martins, the two Vice Presidents of the Pan-African Parliament M/s. Loida Kasingo and Dr. Gayo Ashebir.

Others at the airport to receive the President were Ugandan High commissioner to South Africa, Mr.Julius Moto, Honourables Cecilia Ogwal and Onyango Kakooba who represent Uganda in the Pan-African parliament.

The President met his counterpart President Jacob Zuma at the Union Buildings yesterday. He will today address the Pan-African parliament as it marks a decade of her existence.

Accompanying the President to South Africa from the Ugandan Parliament are Bunya South Member of Parliament Isabirye Iddi and Kole woman Member of Parliament M/S Acheng Joy Ruth.
