BUL-Bidco FC will be hoping to reignite their 2014 FUFA Super League (KPL) campaign when they take on Uganda’s most successful club SC Villa on Friday afternoon in Nakivubo.
Last season, SC Villa was the only side which managed to record a double over the Jinja based BUL who are fifith on the log and Kefa Kisaala, the club’s Head Coach, is hoping things will be different today as they go for a double.
“We have prepared well for the match and have no injury concerns. We are hoping to get maximum points by beating Villa but are aware it won’t be an easy match, Kisaalaa Uganda Cranes assistant coach tells Red Pepper Online Sport.
“We are focused and hoping for the best, he added.
SC Villa has a full strength squad. Ndugwa Karim has been on fire having netted a goal in each of his team’s last three outings. Ronald Muganga has been handy too. He saved the best for last in the Uganda Cup match against Seeta United with a 90th minute strike which put Villa in the round of 16.
Luyima Sulait, Mukubya Jimmy, Kisaliita together with Kirabira Isaac form Villa’s spine for the chase of maximum points.
The match will be played at the Nakivubo Memorial Stadium and kicks off at 1630 Hours.
Elsewhere, Proline FC travels to Kavumba to play mid-table Police FC and recovery is on their minds having earned only one point from their last 8 league games and are lagging just above relegation in 13th place.
Coach Shafiq Bisaso will miss the services of industrious Gift Ali just resumed started individual training following an injury lay-off while Paddy Muhumuza is still on club suspension for disciplinary reasons.
Their first round meeting ended 1-1 at Lugogo.
