American Star Joe For Jazz Safari

American RnB singer, songwriter and record producer, Joseph Lewis Thomas, better known by his stage name, Joe, will perform in Kampala at the Annual Jazz Safari fest set for October.

Nile Gold the headliner sponsors of the Jazz Safari will fly in Joe and his crew of over twelve people. The event is expected to take place at the Kampala Serena Hotel.

Joe was born in Columbus, Georgia and was the child of evangelist preachers.

He later moved to Opelika, Alabama during his formative years and graduated from Opelika High School in 1990.

Joe released Joe Thomas, New Man independently on September 23, 2008, and his second independent album, titled Signature, was released on July 14, 2009 in Japan and the US.

It was named iTunes Best R&B album of 2009. He is also working on a record with singer Ayoade Adeyinka.

In 2010, Joe collaborated with Keith Sweat featuring on Sweat’s album on the song, “Test Drive”.

On October 18, 2011, A new album, The Good, the Bad, the Sexy was released.

On February 19, 2013, Joe released a new single, titled “I’d Rather Have a Love”. It was the first single issued from his tenth studio album Double Back: Evolution Of R&B which was released on July 2, 2013.
