Tension As Fourth Person Is Killed In Luweero

Another person has been murdered in Luweero, bringing to four the number of people killed in the district within a space of three days.

The deceased has been identified as Dick Lubega, chicken dealers in Bukasa Village. His lifeless body was found dumped in Bangwa swamp in Luweero town council on Wednesday afternoon.

A postmortem report issued by police shows that the deceased had cuts on his head. Police suspects that the deceased could have died as a result of excessive bleeding due to the wounds.

The murder of Lubega follows the gruesome murder of Anent Nakaye and her son Joshua Kato, both residents of Nakasero zone in Wobulenzi town council and Denis Ssesanga early this week.

The fifth victim of the mystery attacks Prosy Nansamba is nursing injuries at Bishop Caesar Asili health center in Luweero town council.

The murders have sent panic amongst residents and put police on the spot for failing to protect residents and their property. Samuel Ssewanyana, a resident of Kavule zone says many people now fear going out at night and are wondering police have failed to contain the situation.

He says the security patrols in town are not visible. He wants Godfrey Ninsiima, the Luweero District Police Commander to explain the laxity of his men.
