Sudhir was named the winner on Friday 31 January for his exceptional reporting on corruption at a boat cruise hosted by Nile Breweries Limited.

NBL Corporate Affairs Director Onapito Ekomoloit said that Sudhir’s story on corruption was very simple and comical but answered all the tricky unanswered questions on corruption that is spreading like wild fire across the different sectors of our economy.

The Nile Breweries Exceptional Journalism Award was inaugurated in 2011 to recognize journalists who go an extra mile in their reporting; bringing out salient issues, showing passion, demonstrating innovation but yet staying factual.

Byaruhanga was rewarded with an accolade and a cash prize of Shs1.5 million
