Sudan’s El Merriekh will arrive in the country at lunch-time this Wednesday 12 February 2014 to honour their CAF Confederations Cup clash with Kampala City Council on Saturday aboard an Ethiopian Airlines flight.
KCCA had confirmed that their rivals will land today and according to KCCA councilor Allan Sewanyana, they have made strong plans to have the Sudanese well taken care of upon arrival.
“El Merriekh have to be here just past 1300 hrs. They left Khartoum in the wee hours of Wednesday.
“We have ensured that they are well taken care of and that the facilities they will use while here are of the highest order, he added.
Although they had not been favoured to win away, the Ugandan league champions upset El Merreikh 2-0 in the first leg played in Khartoum last weekend. Tony Odur and Herman Wasswa netted the goals.
