The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) will write to KCCA FC demanding to know why they have failed to solve the impasse with Cranes midfielder Hassan Wasssa Mawanda.

“We are going to write to KCCA FC to explain to us why they are not using the player, yet he wrote an apology when he returned from the Africa Nations Championship,” Mujib Kasule, the FA’s vice president in charge of the league and technical matters said Wednesday.

In October last year KCCA FC released Wasswa to go for trials in Vietnam, but the player returned after two months when his intended move to Dong Nai collapsed.

But the player had earlier revealed that KCCA FC rejected the US$20,000 the Vietnam team was offering and instead had decided to frustrate him.

The FA and KCCA FC got in a collision course in December when the Cranes coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic selected the player for the Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) and yet the club insisted it was not right.

Wasswa, who was one of the most outstanding players for the Cranes at the CHAN tournament, has not been active since then. He is registered for KCCA FC for the lucrative CAF Champions League.
