Uganda Volleyballers Arrive In Netherlands

The Brussels Airlines sponsored Uganda women volleyball team today arrived in Gronigen, Netherlands to camp in for two-weeks in preparation for the 2014 World championships qualifiers due in Nairobi, Kenya next month.
The ladies left Entebbe International Airport minutes before midnight on Monday on a direct flight to the Belgian capital, Brussels before embarking on a 3-hour road trip to Gronigen by bus. The team will play against top flight clubs from the Dutch league and universities and Lakony reveals that the top players from the Dutch national team will hold sessions with their Uganda counterparts.
The trip is sponsored is also partly the team’s Dutch technical adviser Bart Munting and Uganda Volleyball Federation. In Nairobi, Uganda is expected to compete against hosts Kenya, Seychelles, Tunisia, Senegal, Mozambique and Cape Verde in Pool U of the qualifiers from February 16-23.
