Micho Likens Uganda To Barcelona

MichoSerbian born tactician, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic, has said his Uganda Cranes team has been training well just like Spanish La Liga Champions Barcelona.

“If you have been watching our training drills since late last month it has been like that of Barcelona,” Micho told a South African sports website in an interview on Friday morning.

The Coach said that after doing a lot of work during training, he hopes that his players can do what he has preached on the pitch.

The Coach was not shy to mention that sometimes when you watch his players train, they are like the big European teams, but wondered why they fizzle out during match situations.

“I have told the team to fight on the pitch with character, determination and togetherness to be able to get positive results,” explained Micho.

The former Rwanda Head Coach who also handled Orlando Pirates few years ago said it will be very important to win their opening game against Burkina Faso on Sunday.

“We need to go all out and attack like lions to be able to beat Burkina Faso. But we also have to be very cautious because they are a strong team with lots of tactical awareness,” he added.

He explained that although his team comprises mainly young players, he is confident they will perform because they have prepared well and proved to him that they have what it takes to carry the Ugandan flag high.
