Uganda’s Ian Sendi Signs 5-year Contract With FC Minneapolis!

SendiKampala Kids League prodigy Ian Sendi has moved long strides towards realising his footballing dreams after signing his first five-year contract with USA professional club Fc Minneapolis.
The Twin Cities side’s head coach, Ian Smith, reveals the details of the right winger’s contract and is delighted to get his man following failed attempts in the summer
Ian Smith has confirmed that Ian Sendi has signed a five year deal at the Club and says that he is expecting big things of the new recruit.
The Ugandan international’s move from Curtes Rouge was finalized on Tuesday following a stringent transfer process that has lingered since the summer.
Sendi, who has signed on a free transfer, could make his debut against his former club on February 12 and Smith is delighted to have captured his target, though he distanced himself from speculation surrounding French midfielder Anthony Maissiat’s possible move to the club.
“Sendi’s an excellent player who has always done well up to now,” the club’s management told reporters on Friday.
“He is presently in Minneapolis training with the team but he will officially join up with us on January 30. He has signed a five year deal that will expire in January 2019.
“He has asked for the No.7 and we have given it to him. I do not know anything about the No.14 rumors.”
The Sendi deal ends what has been a good week for Fc Minneapolis as they push for NPSL membership come 2015
