Defending champions Uganda Cranes and three-time winners Sudan Falcons will today clash in n Group C’s ultimate table leaders decider of the GOtv Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup at Nyayo Stadium.

oKwiiUganda and Sudan are level on six points and both have scored four goals, which means that should they draw today, a coin will be tossed to determine the winner of the group.

With a toss yet to determine the winner of Group A between Ethiopia and Kenya, Uganda could find themselves playing any of the aforementioned, or Group B winner Zambia or Tanzania.

Uganda beat Eritrea 3-0 at City Stadium with goals from Emmanuel Okwi (brace) and a Hamis Kiiza penalty to join group  rivals Falcons in the last eight. Of course Micho would have wanted better permutations.

“Look,” he told reporters after the match, “If we had scored more than three goals, a draw against Sudan would have been enough for us to top the group.

“It seems to be the nature our players to relax after scoring three. Instead of having that killer instinct and going for more, they relax.

“We have put ourselves in this situation to almost concede one goal, and put ourselves in a position where we must beat Sudan to be first in our group.”

With no fresh injury worries by press time Micho will likely stick with the team that started in the 3-0 victory over Eritrea with Emmanuel Okwi  Daniel Sserunkuma and Said Kyeyune replacing Hamis Kiiza to provide the creative spark for strikers upfront, Khalid Awucho, Baba Kizito in midfield and the preferred back four of Kasagga, Kabugo, Walusimbi and Wadada shielding Benjamin Ochan in goal.
