Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni who is in Nigeria for a two day official working visit to the West African country has held talks with his host Goodluck Jonathan.
The President arrived at Nnandi Azikiwe International airport at 6:05 pm Nigerian time (8:05pm Ugandan time) on Tuesday evening.
He was received at the airport by the Nigerian State Minister for foreign affairs Dr. Nurudeen Mohammed, Ugandan Minister for regional cooperation Hon. Asuman Kiyingi, Ugandan High Commissioner to Nigeria Kagimu Kiwanuka and many other diplomats from African countries accredited to Nigeria.
President Museveni later met and held bilateral discussions with his Nigerian counterpart President Goodluck Jonathan at the Nigerian State House villa in the capital Abuja. The two leaders dicussed matters of mutual interest to the two nations.
On Wednesday afternoon, president Museveni gave a public lecture on the topic “Education and National Development – An African Perspective” to the Nigerian Institute of advanced and legal studies.
