Byarugaba’s NSSF Reign Ends Today

The contract of the National Social Security Fund Managing Director Mr Richard Byarugaba has with “immediate effect” today expired.
Byarugaba has been at the helm of the Fund for the last three years until August 2013 though was extended temporarily to oversee the transition period, including acquiring a procurement contractor.
Finance Ministry late this year all executive positions at NSSF be advertised internationally to have a new team in place by start of 2014, a move that would affect between 10 and 15 managers.
