Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic’s Uganda Cranes will enter camp on Thursday ahead of their international friendly against Rwanda on Saturday.
Micho explained that he will name his squad this evening after the five league games have been played.
Senior players Emmanuel Okwi and Godfrey Walusimbi, who re-joined local team SC Villa after having problems with Etoile du Sahel (Tunisia) and Don Bosco (DR Congo) respectively, are likely to be called to the Cranes team.
This will be the Cranes’ first game since the local football governing body Fufa signed a four-year deal worth Shs4.2b with telecom giants Airtel, who replaced MTN as the official sponsors of the national team.
It will also be Micho’s first game against Rwanda, who parted company with him before he joined Uganda in May.
Meanwhile, reports from Rwanda indicate that national coach Eric Nshimiyimana has summoned a 26-man squad that starts training today ahead of the build-up in Kampala.
Nshimiyimana has included two professionals, Salomon Nirisarike and Haruna Niyonzima, in the squad.
