Nile Special Premier Rugby League

DMark Kobs 40 Sadolin Mongers 13
MTN Heathens 24 G4S Pirates 09
Toyota Buffaloes 35 Muntoni Warriors 10
Ugandan rugby giants G4S Pirates’ 2013 Nile Special Premier Rugby League is fast turning into a joke after they suffered their third successive defeat on Saturday 24-9 to MTN Heathens at Kyadondo Rugby Club.
Pirates whose ‘dream’ capture of David Otwi after his six years with Mutoni Warriors (formerly Summerkamp) looked like a one way ticket to clinching this year’s Super 8 shield was given a reality check after home against Ezee Money Rhinos at Legends Rugby Club (formerly Kampala Rugby Football Club) on opening day and a 29-9 defeat to D’Mark Kobs a week after.
Bishop Onen and Jasper Ochen’s tries plus Benon Kiiza’s try, three conversions and a penalty were enough to earn Heathens their third straight victory while David Otwi’s brace of penalties and one from Joel Anguyo pulled back pride for Pirates.
Elsewhere, D’Mark Kobs picked yet another victory with a 40-13 win against Sadolin Mongers of Entebbe while EzeeMoney Rhinos thrashed as Lira Bulls 55-0 at Legends
Toyota Buffaloes also saw off Mutoni Warriors 35-10 with Philip Pariyo bagging a man of the match award.
League action returns on Friday with D’Mark Kobs visiting Lira Bulls at Lango College in Lirawhile on Saturday, Buffaloes host Pirates at Kyadondo Rugby Club; Ezee Money Rhinos face a tough test against Sadolin Mongers in Entebbe while Mutoni Warriors hosting Heathens at Legends.
