Kiira Young gained sweet revenge for a crushing defeat to rivals Vipers earlier in the season with a 1-0 win – and saw Vipers swiftly sack Nigerian coach Ambrose Chukuma.
Club secretary Haruna Kyobe confirmed to RedPepper Online; “The club’s management have taken the decision that Chukuma will no longer coach Vipers. We will announce our next steps soon.”
“We have seen it necessary to terminate the contract of Coach Ambrose Chukuma and on mutual understandings, he is aware of the directors’ decision,” explained Kyobe.
Chukuma 37 year- old had penned a two- year contract with Vipers and his contact was due to expire at the end of the season. He has previously manged Julius Berger, Anambra United, Anambra Pillar and Central Bank of Nigeria all in his native.
Former head coach Edward Golola and Richard Wasswa are caretakers.
“Now we shall forget about this defeat and prepare for our next match,” Kyobe concluded.
