Namboole based Uganda second tier football League side ‘The Saints FC’ have travelled to West Nile for a double header in Rwenzori group openers against Mvara on Thursday 4th and Moyo the next day to face Vuura FC on Saturday.

Their raid to West Nile will be first time the club crosses swords with a Fufa Big League team competitively though they have played Super League giants SC Victoria University twice in preseason friendlies.

The young side handled by former SC Villa coach and Uganda Cranes star will be playing Big League football for the very first time and boasts of players were recruited from Mukono Pirates who dominated Mukono District football last season.

The Saints however have some experienced players in Geofrey Buni, Farook Kawooya who played in the Super division last season with Aurum Roses.

They will however be without Rashid Kiyini who scored 30 goals last season and is out injured but firepower in Morris Karomunez, Nicholas Odong and Bukenya Kitata aka Benzema will come handy for Mbalangu.

Their backline is manned by trusted lanky Geoff Bwire, Joseph Buure, Captain Umar Mulumba and Julius Madepi with Ivan Okot, Brian Mukasa set to control the midfield.
