For second from bottom FUFA Super League side Entebbe FC, the last few weeks were an exercise in double-think, as the players dutifully insisted they still believed they could save their topflight season, while the fans and pundits expect the worst.
After Friday’s 1-2 defeat by BUL FC in Jinja, all hope ran out for Entebbe and their coach James Odoch, was forced to accept what most fans have acknowledged failing to win a single game in the league eight engagements down the road and confront four time champions URA today looking to overturn odds.
“There are no games without pressure, no time when we play with comfort and now it matters to get points form the table leader. All the time we are thinking in terms of points,” Odoch told REDPepper Online in a phone chat at Tuesday noon.
URA on the other hand will yet again have a chance of extending their league lead winning the home fixture. The tax collectors are level at 18 points with SC Victoria but lead on a superior goal difference.
Fourth placed reigning champions KCC also have an opportunity of keeping the leading pack in sight when they visit tailing CRO while SC Victoria play Proline in Nakivubo and Vipers will be hosting Jinja side Bul FC in Buikwe.
