The Attorney General Peter Nyombi has quashed requests by the Uganda Super League Ltd led Fred Muwema restraining government from recognising the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) as the national football body.
The Constitutional Court last week issued an injunction barring government and its bodies from dealing with FUFA.
The injunction threw some games in disarray as KCCA FC board through their spokesman Aldrine Nsubuga had announced that they would not honour the game that was played at Kavumba on Friday.
Later, KCCA honoured the game prompting Nsubuga to resign his position.
The General Assembly that ushered in Moses Magogo at Jinja on Saturday also went ahead as had planned despite the injunction though at another venue.
The Attorney General in a letter dated August 30 observed that the injunction could not affect football activities.
