Moses Golola vs. Titus Tugume
Venue: Freedom City
General stands: Shs10,000
This is Titus ‘Hard Rock’ Tugume’s time. He is the reigning national champion while Golola is credited for lifting the game from the dogs.
The long awaited bout between Uganda’s biggest prize-money kickboxers Tugume and Moses ‘Hot Temper’ Golola is on Friday night vying for the East and Central Africa Championship title at Freedom City.
After years of speculation whether this particular fight that was earlier scheduled for July 14 at Kyadondo grounds but was however called off due to unclear misunderstandings between the organizers would take place, the two foes will square out in seven rounds at the Entebbe Road based arena.
At the weigh-in on Thursday, Golola (67.5kgs) and Tugume (67kgs) could barely look eye-to-eye as tempers flew
Aside from the cloak and dagger, “On August 30 is Golola’s death,” Tugume roared. Golola has serious doubts about his opponent, “I doubt whether he (Tugume) is a solider or a cook at Bombo Barracks,” Golola told RED Pepper Online on Friday.
“I am the man who kicked River Nile out of Uganda, I doubt if he will live to tell the story because am gonna (sic) kill him,” he added.

Golola has never taken on a Ugandan kick-boxer since he turned professional. He has lost two of his last five fights, while his opponent Titus Tugume is unbeaten in four.
