Reigning Uganda Sports Press Association (Uspa) Female Pool player of the year and current Kampala Open Pool queen Carol Kanzira over the weekend added yet another accolade to her bulging trophy cabinet when she was crowned PAU 2013 Pool Queen.
The seasoned pool player saw off competition from 64 opponents PAU’s biggest ladies only event that holds the highest seeding points for female pool players
Kanzira started with a 3 to 1 win over Allen Namubiru in the Round of 64 and survived Phiona Nalubega in the Quarter Final Round with a 3 to 2 victory before beating former queen Brenda Tendo 2-1 to lineup a date with last year’s losing finalist Nakiridde Hadijah and register a memorable 4-2 win and clinch the coveted crown.
“Am very happy because this is what I have been looking for the past four years,” she told Pepper Sport.
