Uganda Cranes players are to swim in cash today when Education and Sports Minister Maj. Jessica Alupo visits camp today.
According to Alupo, its time government came in to bolster the boys’ training morale ahead of the do or die encounter wit Angola on Saturday.
“we want to boost the morale of these players to repeat what they did against Liberia last saturday .we are delivering a token to them so that they play with smiling wallets. we don’t want to lose this game. We are checking on them to see how prepared they are coping up with training.” a jolly Alupo revealed yesterday.
Her gesture if fulfilled could be interpreted as government intervention but she was coy to reveal the exact amount she is carrying to Namboole. Government didnt pledge any support in the Liberia game but FUFA uncharacteristically rewarded the team with a whopping shs60m after the 1-0 triumph over Liberia.
