Mafabi Loses Women Delegates Support To Muntu

Muntu

The latest FDC opinion poll which flew sparks of verbal exchange between the two rivals Nandala Mafabi and General Mugisha Muntu has now taken a new twist.

The survey by a professional firm Research World International (RWI) commissioned by its director Dr. Patrick Wakida revealed that presidential hopeful Nandala Mafabi is gradually losing support among the female delegates who have resolved to back his rival Gen. Muntu.

According to the statics seen by redpepper online, Mafabi had 25% of female support of the poll conducted from August 25 to September 3 and his rival Muntu had 46% females backing him. In an interesting twist, the latest poll shows how Mafabi’s support with the women delegates has reduced to 20% and Muntu gained the 5% Mafabi lost.

Among the genuine reason the women gave to the interviewers were that Muntu is a gentle man, presentable, he is humble, he is not busy like Nandala, he is patient, hardworking, and has military background. Speaking to Research World International’s Dr. Wakida in an exclusive interview yesterday, he confessed that generally Gen. Muntu has gained his popularity amongst women because the statics reveal that he has improved his contacts with the delegates and was rated to be at 77% followed by his peg boy Godfrey Ekanya and surprisingly Mafabi who claims to be a superstar in mobilization skills had contacted only 57% of the delegates. The poll showed three ways how the candidates are contacting the ‘voters’ mostly through rallies, one to one and lastly through telephone.

“The poll shows that Muntu had increased his popularity among the female on the contrary Mafabi lost 5% because of certain reasons they gave us. More so Mafabi who insists that he is a good mobilizer is the last when it came to contacting voters with 57%. I think he should use this poll to rectify a number of issues,” Wakida said. The poll sparked of criticism by Team Nandala branding RWI an interested party saying Wakida is pro-Muntu.

But Wakida responded to what he termed as ‘trivial allegations’ and said that if Mafabi believes the poll is fake why should he become troubled in fact the best way would be to challenge him by doing his so that the public can judge who is wrong or right. “Ok my poll is fake, why should Mafabi panic? In fact I have advised him to do his. I know he is seriously bruised by the poll but he should embark on canvassing support especially where is unpopular,” he said.

  1. UNITY AFTER THE POLL
what ever the outcome you need to do what Muntu did with Besigye. Who ever loses should be the first one to congratulate the winner. The second should be the campaigning agent for the other in the general elections.
I would like to see the American style where Hillary campaigned for Oboma.Muntu and Mafabi campaign should be a teaching /Learning experience for Ugandans.
Iam waiting to see yet another campaign in the mother party where some one will stand with Kaguta.

  2. This time i think the research is thorough. The truth is that Muntu is really a gentle man and his approach politically is admired by many even those who are scared of talking in the ruling party.

Muntu the way to gooooooooooooooooooooooo. we are behind you.

  3. I must admit Gen Muntu is a gentleman and mature politically coz he never involves himself in dirty politics like Mafabi and co. Uganda needs such kind of breed to unseat M7. Go Muntu we’re behind you all the way! God B U

  4. I do not subscribe to FDC, especially due to the aggressive displays they have had in most of their rallies. Nandala is great, but Muntu has more of what I look for in my next president.

  5. Mafabi is good but Muntu is better.Whoever passes i believe can take the party to the next step that is strong enough to oust NRM.However I call upon the trial candidates to have healthy campains that would lead to free and fair elections so that members can remain united not divided.

  6. It is interesting that good Ugandans only think in terms of a gun ( Military background). What a shame?

  7. Take it or leave it MM will win FDC race, count yourself a winner.just come and we go,we go,we go,to state power.

    1. MR COCERNED, NOTE THAT EVEN IN AMERICA THE MOST DEVELOPED PART OF THE WORLD MILITARY BACKGROUND IS A MATTER TO LOOK AT WHILE CHOOSING A PRESIDENT. THIS IS SIMPLY BECAUSE A PRESIDENT IS THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF OF AN INSTITUTION THAT WILL MOST SAFEGUARD THE COUNTRY. THEREFORE, I DO NOT SEE WHY YOU SHOULD SHAME ANYONE WHO TALKS ABOUT MAFABI’S LUCK OF ANY MILITARY SKILL YET HE WANTS TO BE PRESIDENT.
