Luweero Businessman on the run
Samson Kabanda, a timber dealer in Luweero District is being hunted by residents and authorities in the area over reports that he has been recruiting locals into acts of homosexuality.
Kabanda’s luck run out after John Kaweesa of Luweero accused him of luring his son Steven Kaweesa,28, into homosexuality.
The locals say that Kabanda turned into a top homo after divorcing his wife in late 2007.
He claimed that owing to his sexual orientation, he could not live with a woman forced onto him by his parents.
It is said that when life became hard for them in Luweero, Kabanda and Kaweesa later escaped and started renting a room in Nakulabye, a Kampala suburb.
But around February, 2008, the locals in the area got wind of their weird acts.
The local leaders summoned a meeting where they declared the pair ‘persona non grata’ in their area because they feared they could recruit their children into homosexuality.
All the authorities including the police were informed about the decision. The pair was last seen in Kampala around 2008 and their whereabouts are unknown till today.
