Over seven countries have already confirmed their participation in the 1st edition of the East Africa Police Chiefs Cooperation games (EAPPCO) to be hosted at UCU, Mukono Campus from 24th to 29th August 2017.

The seven countries are; Uganda, Kenya, Burundi, Rwanda, Sudan, South Sudan and Tanzania.

Talking to pepper sport, Abu Kalule the Sports director at the Uganda Police said that they are happy to host the first ever EAPPCO games in Uganda and this tournament will bring all the countries together and it will run on the theme Promoting Regional Integration through Sports.

The countries will be competing in seven disciplines which include; Football, Netball, Volleyball, Boxing, Taekwondo, Shooting and Athletics.

Kalule noted that team Uganda Police is already in camp at Kibuli training school preparing for the games but his most worry is in Volleyball where he thinks Uganda will find difficulty in winning the Gold medal.

He mostly fears Team Rwanda Police Force and Kenya Police Force.

Meanwhile all countries will be accommodated at Uganda Christian University Hostels and the Minister of Internal Affairs Gen Jjeje Odongo will grace the Opening ceremony.
