Transformer Smashes Car along Dewinton Road

An electric transformer has this morning fallen and crashed a moving car registration number UAT591S along Dewiton road in Kampala.
According to eye witnesses, the transformer fell after the pole on which it was, broke down hitting the car. It most affected the side of co-drivers seat.
The lady identified as Rose Muhinza who occupied the car at the moment has escaped death by a whisker and has been rushed to Mulago hospital in a critical condition with severe injuries on the shoulder.
Eye witnesses say the electric pole was rotten and unable to support the weight of the transformer.
Umeme says it will give a clear statement regarding the matter after investigations are complete.
