According to Uganda Cranes striker Daniel Sserunkuma’s agent, there is a good chance the stout Gor Mahia talisman moves to Europe during this transfer window.
“Armenian giants FC Banants have proposed a 6 month loan deal for Dan, subject to approval from Gor Mahia FC and the Armenian transfer window closes in approximately seven days,” his agent Ken Joseph of Emerging Talent Sports Management (ETSM) told Red Pepper in an exclusive interview.
It has been reported that the former Victors forward’s East Europe trial itinerary also had Ukraine and Belarus as the next stops with his Kenyan employers up in arms on Monday 5 August that Sserunkuma sneaked out for the trials.
“Dan had a great first season at Gor. He has all the attributes to develop into a top class striker and the fact that he’s attracted attention from Europe clubs is not surprising,” Ken added.
“He still has one and a half year contract left with his club in Kenya. For the sake of the beautiful game, let’s show our humble Sserunkuma some support,” he added.
In February 2013, Sserunkuma made his debut for Uganda in a friendly against Rwanda scoring on his debut after a much publicized call up from current Gor coach Bobby Williamson.
He was named 2012 Kenya Premier League Player of the year after netting 17 goals and leading the K’ogalo to second place in the league.
