The FUFA Big League kicked off at grounds across the country and Artland (formerly Koboko FC) and Sadolin Paints (Formerly Bugembe United) recorded the only wins of the day.

Artland overcame visiting Gulu University 2-1 at Buziga Islamic ground and Sadolin Paints won the Jinja Derby against Jinja Municipal Hippos by a solitary strike from Fred Ssejemba at Bugembe Stadium.

In Arua Mvara held out to frustrate visiting Saints to a goalless draw. Saints flying winger Ceaser Olega had a goal disallowed for offside. Saints could miss their striker Bukenya Kitata for some time after he got injured.  The Saints medical team were last night assessing the seriousness of the injury him before making a decision on whether to send him back to Kampala for treatment immediately.

In Moyo Vurra FC withstood a spirited fight by Victoria Club California (VCC) to earn a 1-1 draw.

In Rwenzori group, action resumes this Saturday with Saints traveling to Moyo to face Vurra FC, while VCC travel to Arua to face Mvara.  Baza Holdings host Gulu United at Villa Park on Saturday while Mutundwe Lions host Wandegeya on Sunday.

In Elgon group, Kigezi Good Samaritan FC host KirinyaFC at Kabaale Stadium, Soroti Garage welcome Ngora Freda Carr on Saturday and on Sunday Kumi University host Hope Doves formerly Aurum Roses.
