Uganda’s commander of the Special Forces Command (SFC) Brigadier Muhoozi Kainerugaba has poured praise on the country’s army.

Brigadier Muhoozi made these remarks on Saturday while delivering a lecture to Resident District Commissioners (RDCs), Regional Police Commanders and Regional Internal Security Officers who have been in Kyankwanzi for a week’s retreat that has this afternoon been closed by President Museveni.

“Uganda is peaceful and that is why we have achieved this level of economic growth, development and human security,” Brig Muhoozi said while commending UPDF’s discipline and professionalism.

The Ugandan army’s efficiency has seen become part of a 22,000-strong African Union (AU) force, operating under a UN mandate, battling al Qaeda linked al-Shabab in Somalia.

Brig Muhoozi called for effective implementation of Government programmes as spelt out in our national development plan

“The most important human security aspect is implementation and monitoring of Government Services in districts. These services include good infrastructure, access to water and health services as well as education and electricity. If we perform well and ensure that Government delivers on its promises, then we can guarantee that the human security of Ugandans is accomplished and we will achieve Vision 2040,” he said.

Eh, was it a short lecture as the article above?, and this dressing of civilians putting them in army attire sends a wrong signal like the minister for presidency.

    • James

Some of them such as Tumwebaze don’t know whether they are civilians or military. That is why he is wearing military trousers and a civilian shirt.

The amount of time he’s spent within the inner circle automatically elevates him to a Westerner status

One UPDF today killed 10 Ugandans and injured 25 others!

    • Empayippayi

That’s the discipline and professionalism Brigadier Muhoozi is talking about.

Reference to yours – theafricanthinker, Now be clear if this is not total segregation between ARMY and CIVILIAN. Note that in every action, there is an equal and opposite rxn.

A UPDF Bus knocked a super custom in Namulanda, both the bus and the taxi caught fire, the soldiers got out, extinguished the fire on their bus and drove away without even trying to extinguish the fire or helping the passengers in the van who later died.

Clap clap clap… good job UPDF.

This is negative attitude towards ARMY. Lets leave commenting when not sure.
