Police in Kibaale is holding a man for brutally murdering his boss over UGX 7000 shillings.

Charles Okello the officer in charge Kakumiro police station identified the suspect as Oben Taremwa, a resident of Kikamba village, Kasambya Sub County in Kibaale district.

It is alleged that Taremwa on Monday evening, while at a local pub attacked his employer Noah Mawagari Musinguzi with a brick which hit him on the head.

Muzinguzi was rushed to Kakumiro health center IV where he died on arrival.

The suspect was picked up on Tuesday evening by Police after a tip off from residents.

Police investigations indicate that the duo developed a misunderstanding after the deceased’s failure to pay the suspect UGX 7000 shillings which he had worked for.

Upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime, saying he had planned to use the money to buy some clothes for his wife ahead of  Christmas but was perturbed when his now deceased employer could not pay him as anticipated.

He is currently detained at Kakumiro police station awaiting transfer to Kibaale police head quarters.

    True he had worked for it,but is UGX 7000 worthy taking away someone’s life? How much cloth was he going to buy with this little money for goodness sake? People no longer value life,God should have mercy!!

    The employer owed the employee 7000 Shs yet he was drinking comfortably in a bar let’s say he had an average of 5 beers that makes it …..? Ugandan employers don’t respect verbal or written contracts and at times it leads to such incidents this guy was desperate and his wife ,family and Christmas meant a lot to him.Ugandan riches, Indians,Chinese are also fond of that to subdue their employees they keep them poor and always begging for their salaries when in reality they should be paid without a second though. Millions of times I have heard the rich say I don’t have money come next week when the month has ended is that fair?
