Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni has said that the NRM Government is committed to building houses for teachers and medical personnel at their respective places of work in the country.
The President made the remarks yesterday during a tour of Kazo Secondary School in Kiruhuura District that he made after attending New Year inter-denominational service.
Under the Universal secondary Education (USE) programme, Kazo Secondary School that caters for both boys and girls has been able to secure 12 classrooms and two science laboratories at a total government expenditureShs.565 million.
The President who was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Janet Museveni, pledged a donation of a bus to the school and that the government will avail a computer laboratory and a library to the institution.
The Minister of Gender and Labour and area MP, Mr. John Nasasira thanked the President for the provision of electricity to their area.
The Chairman of the school’s Board of Governors, Rev. Stephen Namanya, saluted the President for supporting the construction of the facility. He also lauded the NRM Government for the provision of electricity and water to the area. He revealed that Kazo Secondary School has been the best performer in the A-level examinations in Kiruhuura District since 2007.
