Kayihura Transfers 17 Cops, Suspends Kireka Boss

 Kale Kayihura, the Inspector General of Police has transferred 17 police officers in various departments and also suspended Ronald Mugabe, the Officer in Charge of Kireka Police station.

Mugabe shot dead one person last week while dispersing a mob. This is contained in a 10th /11/2014 message under reference of OPS/763 of police headquarters and copied to all Regional Police Commanders and District Police Commanders.

According to the message, the transfers and appointments take immediate effect.

D/SSP Elizabeth Acheko has been transferred from Mpigi to
parliamentary police as deputy head of CIID Department
SP Edward Kyarigonza from Nakaseke to Nakasongola as the DPC
SP Francis Tumwesigye has been transferred from Napark to Rakai as DPC
SP Nelson Soma from Rakai to Napark as DPC
SP Dick Ayesigomwe transferred from Nakasongola to FFU
ASP Abel Ngako Motti transferred from Mbarara to Nwoya as DPC
SP Moses Okello from Nwoya to FFU
ASP Raphael Magezi from parliamentary police to Mbarara as officer in
charge station.
D/ASP Rose Natukunda from Mukono to Mpigi as officer in charge
criminal investigations and intelligence department CIID
ASP Anababella Nyiramahoro from Kiira Road to parliamentary police
with no specific appointment
ASP Denis Kamugisha from directorate of oil and gas to Nakaseke as DPC
D/ASP Innocent Ogulei from katwe police station to Nwoya as officer in
charge CIID
ASP Geoffrey Babweta transferred from Nwoya to the directorate of FFU
ASP Daniel Okello from central police station CPS KLA to Nwoya as
officer in charge of the station
ASP Robert Kuzara from FFU to Kira division as officer in charge
Kireka police station replacing the embattled Ronald Mugabe who is
suspended over murder allegations.
ASP Moses Byamukama Lenox transferred from Kanungu to Directorate of
logistic and engineering.
ASP Herbert Ibanda from the directorate of logistic and engineering to Nema.

The message signed by Deputy Police Chief Mr Okoth Ochola takes
immediate effects.
