He said that there was too much laxity on providing security to a government official who was handling a very sensitive case.

Dr. Kizito blamed the government during the Easter Sunday service at Rubaga Cathedral.

He said that warnings about terrorists is not enough adding that Government should go an extra mile to provide security to its civil servants especially those being targeted by the killers.

Kizito prayed for the souls of the recently murdered people especially that of Joan Kagezi adding that these are acts of some of the evil temptations brought about by Satan.

“If Government had realized the potential this woman had, she would have never died just like a common person. Government should learn to protect its civil servants because majority of them are being targeted by the criminals,” said Dr. Kizito.

He further challenged Christians that as they celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, they should leave the acts of Satan behind and attain new life.

The vice president Hon. Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi who was the chief guest expressed concern over the murders that are on the rise in this world citing that of the late Kagezi, the Luwero massacre where police was attacked and some killed and the attack on the Garrisa University in Kenya where over 140 innocent students were killed.

The Vice President said that the Government is doing all it can to prevent such acts and called upon citizens in Uganda to stay calm especially now that Electoral roadmap has been announced by the Electoral Commission.

The Katikiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga said that the greatest challenge Uganda is facing is the rule of law especially in Judiciary and Police.

Mayiga said that some of the July 11 2010 suicide bombers are not yet tried in the courts of law.

He said that how can peace prevail yet the judiciary and police are largely supine.

He said that there are incidences where suspects are arrested and not tried in the courts of law because Police is lacking enough evidence to pin them.
