They include a sister to Kasiwukira’s first wife only identified as Sarah, a cop attached to Muyenga Police post and two robbery suspects in Luzira.

A reliable Source in police, said that the two suspects in Luzira revealed to Police detectives that they were hired as assassins to murder Kasiwukira two months before he was killed but they were arrested a few days before they could execute the plan.

In her statement to police, Sarah says she contacted the cop at Muyenga police to kill the tycoon out of anger. She alleges that Kasiwukira raped her on various occasions and impregnated her on three occasions but she was forced to abort.

The cop at the rank of sergeant confesses to having been contacted on the plot but due to fear of the unknown, called two of his friends who could easily execute the murder.

Kasiwukira was knocked dead during the morning run on October 17th about 300 meters from his home in Muyenga, in what appeared to be a hit and run accident.

Dissatisfied with the circumstances of Kasiwukira’s death, members of Kampala City Trader’s Association, tasked police to carry out further investigations.

Geoffrey Musana, the Deputy Director Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Directorate (CIID) says police is now trying to find a link between the initial plot and the death of the tycoon on October 17, 2014.

Police are also considering calling in Kasiwukira’s first wife for questioning, following the recovery of a Prado vehicle from Kayunga, which is believed to have been used to kill the late.

The vehicle belongs Kasiwukira’s wife, a prime suspect in the murder. Initially police declared the death of the tycoon as a hit and run, but by the close of the day senior cops deferred on the cause of death with other saying it was a murder.
