Bukomansimbi Woman MP, Susan Namaganda passed on today morning at Nakasero hospital where she was admitted on Thursday night following a fatal road accident at Mpanga, Mpigi along Masaka Kampala road.

This website understands that at the time of the accident, Namaganda was with her driver Yiga Muwonge who is currently receiving medication at Double Cure clinic.

A Matatu rammed into Namaganda’s car Reg No UAM 228W, Mark II model.

Namaganda sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to Nakasero hospital by Samuel Semugaba the Kiboga County West Member of parliament.

Doctors at Nakasero hospital revealed that excessive bleeding and grave injuries on the head lead to Namaganda’s death.

Katonga region Police spokesperson SP Phillip Mukasa says that the taxi driver who is on the run is suspected to have been under the influence of alcohol by the time of the accident and that the police won’t rest until he is netted.

In a statement, Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga said Namaganda who has been a Member on the Committees of Science and Technology and that of Agriculture died on Thursday night following an accident on Masaka Kampala road.

“The Speaker extends her condolences to the family, relatives, constituents and the country on this great loss,” she said.

Vigil is to be held at Kizungu Zone-Makindye Division, Kampala.

Namaganda has been a wife to East Africa Legislative Assembly MP, Mukasa Mbidde.
