8-Year Old Boy Sodomised, Suspect Charged

Mukono Magistrates Court has remanded 23 year old Sande Ronald to Luzira Prison for having canal Knowledge against the order of Nature with an 8 year old boy.

The suspect who has been working as a house help to the victims neighbor was arrested after the parents of Richard Egesa, a Primary two pupil found him crying in pain after allegedly being sodomized at Bugoma parish in Seeta a Mukono suburb.

According to Egesa, he and his friends usually watch television from the neighbor’s house. But on the tragic day, his friend was chased out of the house exposing him to sande’s antics.

Police conducted an examination on the victim at Mulago Hospital and the result confirmed anal sex that occurred repeatedly. Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga says the case has already been taken to court after enough evidence was gathered.

The victim’s father , Charles Ogula says the act has silently happened many times but they only noticed that there was something wrong with the child early this month.

Egesa and his family are now undergoing counseling to help deal with the tragic events that have occurred and ensure that the victim opens up to what exactly happened. The counseling services have been offered by Single mothers Foundation.
